Patented LactoLycopene Ingredient Awarded Halal Certification

Following a rigorous audit process, Cambridge Nutraceuticals’ LactoLycopene ingredient has been awarded Halal Certification.

Chris Meaney, Head of Business Development for the company says:

`We're delighted to have been able to respond to trade customer demand and gain this certification for LactoLycopene.   We’re confident this certification will create distribution opportunities in additional markets, particularly in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.  It’s timely as we’re exhibiting at the Arab Health Exhibition taking place in Dubai early next year’.

Lycopene is a bright red pigment found in tomatoes and other fruits and vegetables. Cambridge Nutraceuticals has combined it with whey protein in a patented combination called LactoLycopene that makes it much easier for the body to absorb. One capsule of LactoLycopene provides the same amount of lycopene that you would absorb from eating 1kg of cooked tomatoes.

LactoLycopene was short-listed in 2020 for the ‘Nutritional Research Award’ at Vitafoods Europe, one of the leading trade exhibitions of the nutraceutical industry.  This ingredient has also had £12 million invested in its development at leading institutions, including the University of Cambridge NHS Hospital Trust (Addenbrooke’s), UK.

LactoLycopene is used extensively internationally to support a range of areas including: cardiovascular, prostate, male fertility and skincare.

Cambridge Nutraceuticals is the parent company and  international arm of FutureYou Cambridge.
