Cambridge Nutraceuticals are finalists in Nutraingredients Awards

Cambridge Nutraceuticals has been selected as a finalist in two separate categories at this year’s Nutraingredients Awards.  These include: The ‘Ingredient of the Year: Healthy Ageing’ with its patented LactoLycopene and ‘Product of the Year: Botanical’ with its new 5-HTP+ supplement from the FutureYou Cambridge brand.

The organisers reported that ‘so high was the standard, the task of choosing the top three in each category was no easy feat’.

LactoLycopene is Cambridge Nutraceuticals’ unique lycopene complex in which tomato oleoresin has been embedded in a whey protein matrix. This process improves the absorption of lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that is abundant in the Mediterranean diet.

LactoLycopene supplementation has been shown to be beneficial in cardiovascular health and prostate health, two major leading health concerns in ageing males. One capsule of LactoLycopene provides the same amount of lycopene that you would absorb from eating 1kg of cooked tomatoes.

The company’s 5-HTP+ formulation has proved very popular since its launch at the end of last year.

Formulated to help those who are trying to cope with stress and anxiety, which can also affect sleep and mood.

This product combines 5-HTP (5-Hydroxytryptophan) with a range of botanical ingredients such as an award winning saffron (Affron®), and organic French lavender, as well as marine magnesium and B-vitamins. The overall combination can help to improve serotonin levels, contributing to an improvement in overall wellbeing.

Cambridge Nutraceuticals will be exhibiting and online at Vitafoods Europe 2022 from 2-13 May inclusive when the winners and runners-up will be announced. If you’d like to learn more about LactoLycopene, 5-HTP+ or any other product in the portfolio, visit stand N39 at the live event.
