Cambridge Nutraceuticals exhibiting acclaimed LactoLycopene ingredient at Vitafoods 2021

Cambridge Nutraceuticals will be exhibiting at Vitafoods this October showcasing its patented LactoLycopene ingredient. Short-listed last year for the ‘Nutritional Research Award’ category, this ingredient has had £12 million invested in its development at leading institutions, including the University of Cambridge NHS Hospital Trust (Addenbrooke’s), UK.

The ingredient was the subject of a major study in 2019 conducted by Professor Allan Pacey at the University of Sheffield that showed LactoLycopene delivered a 40% increase in the quantity of fast progressive sperm. The study was published in the European Journal of Nutrition and reported extensively in the media.

Lycopene is a bright red pigment found in tomatoes and other fruits and vegetables. Cambridge Nutraceuticals has combined it with whey protein in a patented combination called LactoLycopene that makes it much easier for the body to absorb. One capsule of LactoLycopene provides the same amount of lycopene that you would absorb from eating 1kg of cooked tomatoes.

LactoLycopene is used extensively internationally to support a range of areas including: cardiovascular, prostate, male fertility and skincare.

The team will be giving a presentation on the science behind LactoLycopene at Vitafoods in the New Ingredients Theatre at 11:00am on Tuesday 5 October 2021.
